Chef Anchalee was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand “World’s best cities” where people from all nationalities and regions travel and tried their luck in “Krung Thep Maha Nakon”. So her cuisine was exposed to a style of cooking that fused unique TraditionThai culture and Asian influences to create a flavorful masterpiece.

 

Chef Anchalee found comfort in her family, and their shared passion for food.  When her family gathered at her grandmother's house for lunch and festival. There, she helped prepare the meal for the family gathering. 

 

After graduated from Bangkok University, Thailand with the degree in Business management, Anchalee decided to continuing her studied master degree at Armstrong university, United States.  Chef Anchalee began her food career as front of the house for her mother small independent Thai restaurant in San Rafael, CA while she was studying in the University. This gave her a little taste of the industry, which made her to realize that she truly wanted to pursue a culinary career. So, after graduating from the University with a Master degree in Business management, she enrolled in Culinary school. With formal training from the Le cordon bleu, San Francisco she began working in the world class restaurant kitchens in Bay area. In the year 2009 with her husband -Mee open small restaurant with tiny kitchen  in that recession period  Mini mango Thai bistro "in Napa, CA.. - " Thai comfort food with california accents "

                         “I have always loved food. Luckily for me, I’ve been able to turn this love of food into a career in cooking,

                           and have  spent the last twenty years sharing this passion with my family, friends,  co-workers,

                           and now tourists from around the world and locals in Napa, CA”.

Chef Anchalee realized about the diversity in California melting pot cuisine same as the excitement of the food  in Bangkok steet  Thailand her hometown....after the big Earthquake in Napa she decided to move Mini mango Thai bistro  to new location for bigger kitchen to explore new receipes not only Thai comfort food but also adventure in the new menu items with California ingredients.  MANGO ON MAIN  is another chapter of mini mango Thai bistro. "Lunch Bangkok street food" add the adventure journey of  Healthy Thai Flavor for tourist and NAPA  locals.

 

Chef Anchalee , Mee and Chef de Cuisine ,Charlie Ortiz continue to explore not only the Art of Thai and Asian street food but also world exotic ingredients and  culture for inspiration in every vacations. " The journey never ends ". ............We welcome you to join us on these journey!
